Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are currently working throughout the NFL offseason, looking to get back to the sport's pinnacle.
The Chiefs finished the season with a 17-3 record, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
After the season, Mahomes made some moves outside of the white lines.
Kansas City's star hosted a Reading Rally, where he spoke to thousands of elementary school kids, sharing some wisdom with the youth.
"Patrick Mahomes reminds 3,000 elementary students in Kansas City that success comes through patience and perseverance-whether we're talking about learning to read or becoming the greatest QB in history!" posted the Lead to Read Kansas City.
When discussing the importance of reading at the event, Mahomes discussed the three main points: Read to succeed, reading takes practice and read 15 minutes every day.
As the foundation explained on social media, this marks the third year of the Reading Rally in Kansas City, led by the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.
Mahomes established this foundation with a mission to support health, wellness and communities in need with the help of charitable drives.
This year, the Reading Rally was hosted at the T-Mobile Center, where Mahomes spoke on the importance of education to students.
While all eyes were recently on Mahomes' initiatives off the field, the Chiefs quarterback also recently attracted fans with another successful season in Kansas City.
Mahomes finished the season with 26 touchdowns and 3,928 yards, completing 67.5% of his pass attempts.
