The Kansas City Chiefs have shared a super touching and heartfelt moment with a young Chiefs fan and Patrick Mahomes.
The Kansas City Chiefs are focused on the future and working hard during the offseason, but they still make time to give back to the local community. Chiefs in the Community has a range of community programs and events throughout the year that enhance the community and Chiefs fans.
On Friday, June 13, the Kansas City Chiefs took to Instagram to share some footage and clips of players meeting with a fan, and it really looked like a sweet moment. So sweet that it might make you tear up.
The Kansas City Chiefs Give Back
“With the help of the non-profit Mile Monsters, Turbo, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, spent the day touring our stadium and facility and capped it off with a visit to one of our practices,” the team post on their official Instagram page, along with a gallery of photos of video clips featuring Turbo meeting the players, including Patrick Mahomes. In the clip, Mahomes even gives Turbo a football.
The Chiefs also shared an Instagram post on Friday, June 13, stating that head coach Andy Reid has been involved with the Special Olympics Missouri.
“Last week, the 5th Annual Evening with Andy Reid took place to help build support for Special Olympics Missouri,” they wrote in a separate Instagram post.
They added, “In addition to raffles and auctions to help fund programs for these incredible athletes, Coach Reid announced his partnership with Special Olympics athlete Jared and his business, Jared’s Jams.”
The Chiefs have a variety of community programs and events throughout the year to benefit the local area. One of their programs is City Year, which “works to celebrate students throughout the year, providing children and young adults with safe and engaging learning environments. Throughout the partnership between City Year and the Chiefs, over $1 million has been donated to improve the education of students in the Kansas City area.”
Also, the Kansas City Chiefs and Hunt Family Foundation are work on offering education opportunities and supporting students in Kansas City.
Which Teams May Surprise the NFL in 2025
But, let’s get back to football. While the Chiefs, of course, are considered one of the strongest teams in the NFL, there are other teams that are currently flying under the radar that could come up and upset the major players. In a separate June 12 feature for PFF, Wasserman names five teams that are underrated going into the new season. The Chiefs aren’t on there, of course, because they’re expected to be strong, as always.
The teams that could surprise everyone, and even surprise the Chiefs, are the Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks.
“Football prognosticators spend the entire offseason searching for legitimate Super Bowl contenders, as well as those who could be dark horses to make noise in the postseason,” Wasserman notes in the piece. “In the process, some teams get overlooked, whether because of market size or an underestimation of their talent level and ability to win games.”
In my opinion, all of those teams make sense, expect for the 49ers, because they always seem favored, no matter what, going into a new season.
