Phaedra Parks Roars Back to ‘RHOA’ – Says the Cast Shakeup was Worth it | WATCH
*Phaedra Parks is visibly super excited about her anticipated return to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” While announcing her return to RHOA’s season 16 on Tuesday night, Parks also assured her fans that the cast shakeup was worth it!
“We’ve got some new ladies that are just firecrackers,” she said. “They shook up the cast, but it’s definitely … it’s a good thing, it’s a good thing! I think people are really going to enjoy it.”
Parks, who has also debuted on Season 33 of “Dancing With the Stars,” added that she had a “wonderful time” reuniting with stars like Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey. The two also return for Season 16; Williams returns as a full-time cast member, while Bailey returns as a friend.
“I mean, the gumbo is gumbo-ing again,” Parks teased. “So the Titanic, honey, it’s the love boat, now. It’s coming back up.”
RHOA S16 will also introduce new faces, such as Kelli Ferrell, Brittany Eady, and Angela Oakley, as full-time cast members. Shamea Morton Mwangi has been promoted to Housewife after previously being cast as a friend, Page Six reported.
Over the last two years, Parks has been up and down booked and busy with reality TV projects. That’s why her fans were so excited when she announced she was returning to Season 16 of RHOA. She has missed six seasons.
“You called. I answered 🍑#RHOA #S16,” she captioned a picture on Instagram of herself holding the franchise’s signature peach when she first made the announcement.
A premiere date for Season 16 of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” has yet to be announced, so fans may have to wait. But in the meantime, they can watch Parks and Chmerkovskiy on “Dancing With the Stars,” which airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
