Philadelphia Eagles Star Reveals Massive Reason For 2023 Collapse

The Philadelphia Eagles suffered one of the worst collapses that the NFL has seen in recent history during the 2023 season. After looking like a legitimate Super Bowl favorite, they completely fell apart.

While the Eagles were able to limp into the playoffs, they were knocked out in the Wild Card round by Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Heading into the offseason, it was clear that Philadelphia wanted to make some major changes. They hired a new offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator. Howie Roseman also went out and aggressive made roster changes.

Both Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox opted to retire. They will be missed, but the Eagles still have a roster in place that should be able to compete.

One star has spoken out and revealed a massive reason for the 2023 collapse.

Brandon Graham, another of the team’s longtime stars, spoke out about the late-season collapse last year. He revealed a massive reason for the Philadelphia Eagles’ struggles.

“I really think that last year, we just didn’t – that’s what we didn’t have. We didn’t have all the right coaches in the right position, I would say. You know, you can just see the guys just truly believing in what’s going on. I’m excited for the young guys who just came in, new rookies coming in – they’re really going to get a good shot and good taste of what it is to be in the NFL.”

Wow. Graham did not hold back on throwing shots at his former coaching staff.

He’s not wrong though, as the Eagles’ coaching staff fell apart as well. In fact, many thought that head coach Nick Sirianni would lose his job as well.

While the Philadelphia Eagles chose to keep Sirianni, he is clearly on the hot seat. If the team doesn’t find success in 2024, it’s likely that the Eagles will be searching for a new head coach next offseason.

Hopefully, none of that ends up becoming reality. Ideally, the Eagles will start the season off strong and finish it the same way.

On paper, they have the makings of a Super Bowl contender, but they need to actually show it on the field now.
