Pregnant Bravo Star Gives Update About Preparing to be a New Mom

“The Valley” star Kristen Doute is sharing an update on how she’s feeling about becoming a first-time parent in the near future.

While speaking to Us Weekly at her late April baby shower, Doute shared how she and her fiance, Luke Broderick, have been handling the prospect of having a baby.

“I think Luke is just more calm about everything. It’s just a whole new world for us, but I know that when she’s here, we will be really great being parents. I’m not scared, but the hospital hands you a baby and then you go home and you’re on your own,” said Doute, who announced her pregnancy in November 2024.

Doute and Broderick spoke about their excitement regarding having a child during an April 2025 interview with Entertainment Tonight. Doute said that she is “excited to have a cool little girl” who shares both her and Broderick’s qualities.

“It’s like what a cool combination. So we couldn’t be more different in most areas in our lives. And I love that for her. She’s going to be so well-rounded. I’m just so excited to see what her little personality is like,” said Doute to the publication.

The couple, who got engaged in August 2024, also gave an update about their plans to get married. According to Doute, they will wait sometime before they wed. Broderick also said he is waiting for Doute to say the word when she wants to get married.

Kristen Doute Said Her Pregnancy Has Brought Her Close to Her Castmate, Nia Sanchez, Who Is Currently Expecting Her 4th Child

During the April 2024 Us Weekly interview, Doute noted that her “Valley” castmate, Nia Sanchez, is also pregnant. According to Doute, their pregnancies have strengthened their friendship.

“We’ve gone through almost this full pregnancy together, so she’s just been there every step of the way since fertility. We’ve talked about delivery, we’ve talked about postpartum and raising the girls together, so every single step, she’s been there,” said Doute to Us Weekly.

Sanchez made similar comments to Us Weekly in December 2024. She noted that she and Doute have both been open about their fertility journeys.

“Now that we’re both pregnant, we are definitely extra close. It’s been nice to be there for her during the early stages of her pregnancy,” said Sanchez during the Us Weekly interview.

Sanchez has three other children, Asher, Isabelle, and Zariah, fathered by her husband and “Valley” co-star, Danny Booko.
