Quinyon Mitchell will make CeeDee Lamb instantly regret laughable trash talk

The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys' rivalry hit new heights, but the Super Bowl champions will get the last laugh.

Quinyon Mitchell will make CeeDee Lamb instantly regret laughable trash talk

This has been one of the most highly contested rivalries over the past decades as the two teams have battled for the NFC East title each year. Philadelphia has had the advantage of late, thanks to its two Super Bowl titles since 2018, while the Cowboys are still waiting to get to the NFC title game for the first time in nearly 30 years.

Dallas might want to pump the brakes on any trash talk on the Eagles since their recent lack of success in the playoffs puts the Cowboys at a disadvantage. That didn't stop Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb from making comments they may want to take back later.

The Cowboys did a live stream, “America’s Stream: Countdown to Schedule Release,” that showcased a moment where Parsons read an Eagles fan's comment on Lamb being shut down by cornerback Quinyon Mitchell on his fictional nicknamed island "Quinyonomo Bay."

Parsons and Lamb took exception and fired back with their fiery response.

“I’m sorry, that Quinyanimo Bay don’t last over here, man," Parsons said. "That (explicit) dead.”

“Stop the cap,” Lamb said. “I have never been locked down on any island.”

Lamb may want to check the tape from last season because it appeared that the Eagles, particularly Mitchell, were victorious at shutting him down. According to PFF, Mitchell only allowed one Lamb catch for five yards last year. In Lamb's only game against the Eagles last year, he caught six passes for 21 yards for an average of 3.5 yards per reception.

It hasn't been all bad for Lamb against the Eagles, though, as he does have two 100-yard games against them in his nine matches against Philadelphia. He's also caught four touchdowns in that span.

Dallas struggled mightily against the Eagles, as the Cowboys were outscored 75-13 to see blowout losses twice last season. The Cowboys might use the excuse that their quarterback, Dak Prescott, didn't play in either game, but their second game together saw the Eagles having to play Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee, which still turned out in their favor.

The Cowboys will have the chance to silence the Eagles fans with a Week 1 win on the road, but the Eagles have won three of their last four games against Dallas and are seven-point favorites to win the season opener. Dallas will need some help to take down the defending Super Bowl champions.
