As the Raiders season continues to trend downwards, the idea of them selling off all of their good players is becoming a popular opinion.
With Davante Adams traded to the New York Jets the next player surrounded by trade rumors has been Maxx Crosby. The main team that Crosby has been tied to is the Detroit Lions. A large reason for this is that Crosby played college football in Michigan, and the Lions need an edge rusher with their star Aidan Hutchinson out for the year.
Now, because of all of these rumors, those with the organization, including a new minority owner, are denying those rumors. Former Raider and NFL legend Richard Seymour recently discussed this topic with Adam Schefter.
"If I'm the Lions I want to come and get Maxx Crosby too," said Seymour. "I mean why wouldn't they right? I think he's the heartbeat of our team. Obviously that would be Mark Davis' decision, and I don't see him making that decision to trade away a Maxx Crosby. I think he's a tremendous player and he bleeds silver and black."
So there you have it, one of the newest minority owners for the Raiders doesn't see it happening. That should be peace of mind for some Raiders fans who have been concerned there may be some truth to the rumors.
For now Crosby is a Raider, and if Richard Seymour had it his way it seems he would be a Raider until he retires. But we'll have to see what Mark Davis decides to do with his lone star player.
