Raiders Predicted to Make Blockbuster Trade for Seven-Time Pro Bowler

Why Former NFL DB Sees Vikings as Trade Fit for Dolphins' Jalen Ramsey - Athlon Sports

After going just 4-13 in 2024, the Las Vegas Raiders have put together an interesting offseason marked by losing a number of talented players through free agency.

That includes safety Tre'von Moehrig to the Carolina Panthers (three years, $51 million), cornerback Nate Hobbs to the Green Bay Packers (four years, $48 million) and linebacker Robert Spillane to the New England Patriots (three years, $33 million).

However, there is still time to make some big additions and in an article for CBS Sports, Cody Benjamin predicts that the Raiders will orchestrate a trade with the Miami Dolphins for cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Of course, Ramsey is a player who has been involved in trade rumors for quite some time, as Dolphins' general manager Chris Grier previously confirmed the team's interest in moving on from the 30-year-old.

However, there's no doubt that he's still a good option at cornerback because in 2024, he was targeted 71 times, allowing 44 receptions, 462 yards, three touchdowns and an 83.2 passer rating with two interceptions.

Ramsey could certainly help the Raiders improve their defense, which last year was ranked 15th in total yards per game allowed (333.1) and tied for 25th in points per game allowed (25.5).

He also has been a consistent player, no matter which team he has been on and in his nine-year career has been named to seven Pro Bowls and earned First-Team All-Pro honors three times.

In order to secure Ramsey's services, though, the Raiders may need to be willing to take over the three-year, $72.3 million extension that keeps him under contract through the 2028 season, which is certainly a hefty price tag.
