Raiders Provide Maxx Crosby Injury Update on Wednesday
For the first quarter of the 2024 NFL season, the Las Vegas Raiders were a .500 team. However, things fell apart quickly under head coach Antonio Pierce, as the team only won two more games for the rest of the season and never beat a starting quarterback after Week 4.
Injuries were tough to overcome in the early going for the Raiders, especially on the defensive line, but things really fell apart when star defensive end Maxx Crosby sustained a slew of injuries. He missed the final four games of the year after he underwent surgery, and many were concerned about his outlook for the following season.
Fortunately, head coach Pete Carroll recently provided an update on that front. He spoke to the media on Wednesday and said that Crosby's injury is seemingly all healed.
"Maxx looks great," Carroll said. "He's going full speed, 100%."
Crosby's health will be crucial for the success of the Raiders' defense in 2025. If he, Malcolm Koonce and Christian Wilkins can all avoid missing time once again this year, then the defensive line group has the opportunity to be among the best in the league.
Under new head coach Pete Carroll, things will surely operate a bit differently. However, defensive line pressure will always be paramount to a team's success, and Crosby is the best in the league at doing that.
