Davante Adams remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. But amid all the trade buzz surrounding the Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver, the injury may not keep him out for long.
Earlier this week, Adams made headlines when he publicly requested to be traded.
But before Adams made his trade demand, the three-time All-Pro suffered a hamstring injury at practice. The issue forced him to miss Las Vegas’ Week 4 clash against the Cleveland Browns. It is also expected to keep him out for the Raiders’ Week 5 matchup against the Denver Broncos.
With several teams circling the Raiders for a potential trade, Adams’ hamstring issue may have been viewed as a cause for concern. But according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Adams is now “nearing full health” and it’s said to be “likely” he would be healthy enough to play next week.
The New York Jets have been named as a logical landing spot for Adams, who may want to reunite with his old friend, Aaron Rodgers. But another AFC team is reportedly being “aggressive” in their pursuit of Adams.
In three games played this season, Adams has tallied 18 catches for 209 yards with one touchdown.
