The New York Rangers have already made some big changes this summer, and now, it appears more are on the horizon as Carson Soucy is on the trade block.

The 2024-25 campaign was a rough one for the New York Rangers, and while they tried to shake things up with some big moves, it just didn't come together as they failed to make the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Already this summer, that shakeup has continued, as the team named a new Head Coach in Mike Sullivan before trading Chris Kreider to the Anaheim Ducks, and now some more changes could be on the way.

According to reports, the team see Carson Soucy and the final year of his deal with a $3.25 million salary cap hit as one that could and should be moved as GM Chris Drury looks to sure up the back end of this Rangers lineup that has seen major changes in recent times, notably with the trade of Ryan Lindgren.

Soucy was acquired in the deal that saw J.T. Miller come to the Rangers as well, and if acquiring him was the only way to get Miller, it was certainly worth it for New York, but after a disappointing tenure with the Rangers that even saw him scratched at some points, a trade needs to happen soon.

While Soucy has never been known as a scorer, instead using his 6-foot-5 frame to get physical with his opponents, he had just three points in 16 games played for New York, and with the team also looking to move off K'Andre Miller to change things up around Adam Fox on the blue line, expect them to somehow move Soucy this off-season.
