“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Vicki Gunvalson says she and her boyfriend, Michael Smith, who started their relationship in 2022, may wed in 2025.
During the December 31 episode of her podcast, “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast,” co-hosted by Christian Gray Snow, Gunvalson said she and Smith had a conversation about possibly getting married.
“Last night we had the M talk. Marriage. And I’m like, ‘Do we need to do that?’ And he goes, ‘We don’t need to,'” said Gunvalson on her podcast. “Financially, he’s good. I’m good. We’ve got the prenups already done. The postnups already done. But he goes, ‘I know you value marriage so much.’ And I’m like, ‘I do.’ So we might do that in 2025.”
In addition, Gunvalson said she would like her possible engagement to Smith “to be a joint decision.”
“I don’t want him to get down on one knee. And do all this elaborate [expletive]. I just want it to be, we’ve checked all the boxes of all the things. And I don’t need all the big hoopla Instagram [expletive],” continued Gunvalson.

Gunvalson, who resides in Orange County, let her fans know that Smith moved to Arizona for his work on the November 4 episode of “My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast.” She said Smith may live in Arizona for “two or three [years], depending on how many projects come in.”
“He’s a developer and he’s doing a project that’s going to be a couple of years. But we live together in California. But he’s going back and forth. And it’s hard. It’s my new normal now. So I don’t know where I’m going to end up,” said Gunvalson on the November 2024 podcast episode.
Vicki Gunvalson Spoke About Getting Divorced on Her Podcast
While recording the November 11 episode of her podcast, Gunvalson noted that she has “been divorced twice.” According to Gunvalson, she divorced her first husband, Michael J. Wolfsmith, in 1991, for the sake of their two children, Briana Culberson and Michael Wolfsmith.
“The first one I had to, for the health of my children. My dad sat me down and said, ‘Michael and Briana are not going to turn out okay unless you do this.’ I was 28 with two little kids. And I was never going to get child support,” said Gunvalson.
She then said issues arose in her relationship with her second husband, Donn Gunvalson, whom she divorced in 2014 after 16 years of marriage, because Culberson and Wolfsmith are not his biological children.
“That was a big thing for us. He never liked Michael and Briana,” said Gunvalson on her podcast.
She also said she is “not proud” that she has been divorced.
“I value marriage a lot,” said Gunvalson.
