REPORT: Andy Cohen is Panicking Over RHONJ & Worried About RHONY-Like "Disaster" Amid Series Pause

Andy Cohen is reportedly panicking over the ongoing pause of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and growing concerned that the series could be headed for a The Real Housewives of New York City-like “disaster.”

Following the August 2024 conclusion of season 14, which featured Teresa Giudice, 53, Melissa Gorga, 46, Margaret Josephs, 58, Dolores Catania, 54, Danielle Cabral, 39, Rachel Fuda, 34, Jackie Goldschneider, 48, and Jennifer Fessler, casting on season 15 is said to be in limbo.

“They’ve hit the panic button,” a Bravo insider told the National Enquirer on June 19. “The last thing Andy wants is another RHONY-style reboot disaster — but the current cast? It’s not working. And they know it.”

As Bravo fans well know, the full reboot of RHONY ahead of season 14 led to criticism from many fans and its former cast. So, when it comes to a potential recast of RHONJ, that may not be something Andy, 57, and his Bravo producers are open to. That said, casting is happening.

After telling Access Hollywood that it would be “a while” before RHONJ was cast in May, Andy appeared on The View, where he confirmed that casting was underway amid a “deep pause.”

“We are doing casting with [RHONJ] as well. It was really on a deep pause, and we are actively there, casting, and kind of looking at the future of what that will be,” he stated. “It’s a great franchise and we love it — I just have to reiterate that.”

With RHONJ up in the air, Bravo appears to be focusing its attention elsewhere with a new series in the Northeast, The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.

“These are real — you know, I don’t think people realize what a very Italian community Rhode Island is … And you know what? You don’t mess with folks from Rhode-y. You don’t mess with Rhode-y folks,” Andy explained on The View. “We have found a very Italian group and they are hilarious and they’ve got big families. And so I’m really excited to introduce everybody.”
