RHOA's Porsha Williams Is Preparing a 'Hand-Cooked' Meal for Thanksgiving — But Catering in Christmas

Porsha Williams will be putting on her chef's hat for Thanksgiving.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star tells PEOPLE during Bravo Fan Fest in Miami that she's going to do "something small" but completely homemade for the Nov. 28 holiday.

"For Thanksgiving, I'm gonna be in the kitchen doing the turkey, the yams, the collard greens, the potato salad and everything else," she teases. "Thanksgiving will be hand-cooked."

The 43-year-old has more elaborate plans for Christmas next month, though.

"I finally got my 10-foot nutcrackers for my front door," says Williams. "I've been trying to get them for two years, right? So I am having the biggest Christmas party."

And that party, she says, will be catered.

While Williams is, of course, looking forward to the holidays, she says her daughter Pilar Jhena McKinley, 5, is "so excited."

"Last year I didn't spoil her with like a whole bunch of gifts because, you know, at four they like what they like," she tells PEOPLE last weekend. "And the rest is like, 'Thanks mom.' "

This year, though, "she's really into Barbie. She actually came home was like, 'I want a Barbie dream house.' "

"So I'm happy about that because I was a Barbie girl," Williams adds.Williams is returning to the Real Housewives of Atlanta after a two-season absence for season 16. It will be back in 2025.

Her comeback came with an overall talent deal with NBCUniversal to partner on scripted project opportunities across the company’s broadcast and streaming properties.

Other cast members include businesswoman and podcast host Brittany Eady, restaurateur and Food Network alum Kelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley, wife of NBA great Charles Oakley.  Kenya Moore and Drew Sidora are also returning.
