The reality TV star's health update got mixed responses from fans.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss shared a look at her recent weight loss in new before and after photos shared in a video for a controversial supplement.
Burruss took to Instagram on Oct. 9 to share a video endorsing Hydroxycut, crediting it with helping her lose 31 pounds. In the new video, which showed photos of her reported weight loss from the product, Burruss said, "I really wanted to lose weight. Nothing was working for me."

"It's helped me to stick to it. It's helped giving me the motivation. It gives you flavor. It gives you energy. I feel and look the best that I have in years," she said of Hydroxycut.
She captioned the clip, "Operation #UnBigMyBack was a success! 💪🏾🌟 I’m feeling more confident than ever thanks to @Hydroxycut! #HydroxycutPartner #Hydroxycut #Transformation."
Many fans and friends of the reality TV star cheered her on in the comments, with encouraging replies like, "Soldt 🔥🔥🔥🔥 you look soo freaking good," and "You look incredible, sis. Fine and fit for the win! 🏆."
"I’ve been using that for years ..she’s not lying 😍😍😍," claimed another fan.
However, other Instagram users called out Burruss for endorsing the controversial product, as Hydroxycut has little to no scientific backing of the company's medical claims, and there have been many reported side effects such as rapid heartbeat, nausea, headaches and more, as reported by Healthline.
"Those pills made me feel like I was having a heart attack almost," wrote one fan who allegedly tried Hydroxycut as well, as another said, "You look good kandi but we not buying it."
A third replied, "People just diet and exercise. That stuff is not for you," while others supported Burruss pursuing a partnership with the company.
Earlier this year, Burruss revealed that she had tried the weight loss drug Ozempic but quit after she didn't see results, telling Page Six, "I didn't lose any weight."
