Cynthia Bailey says she gained unwanted weight
It’s not uncommon for celebrities to delve into their health and fitness journeys. This January, Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Cynthia is getting super candid about hers
She explains how she feels she gained weight “for a lot of reasons.”
The RHOA star says: “I don’t know if it was the stress of shooting season 16 of Housewives that had me eating everything that I could find and definitely drinking everything I could find…”
- Cynthia adds how it really isn’t all negative, as she explains: “I gained a lot of happy weight. I’ve been in a relationship for the past 10 months now and I started not to be able to fit in my clothes anymore. I’m on the other side of menopause. It’s like a lot of reasons.”
Cynthia’s weight loss jab experience
After a ton of celebrities have publicly shared how weight loss jabs like Ozempic have worked for them, it’s no wonder that Cynthia wanted to give it a whirl.
Those who have spoken about their results include fellow Bravo stars such as Dolores Catania and Margaret Josephs of RHONJ.
Cynthia gave the weight loss trend a go but ultimately found it was no good for her.
She explains: “I did want to take the shot initially because all my friends look great on the shot without question. I tried it for a month.”
The Cynthia RHOA fans all know and love is as down to earth as they get, and her reason for changing her heart about the weight loss jab is pretty wholesome.
She says: “Honestly, for me, it didn’t work because I still like food and I found I just had no interest in food. Food is like something that I enjoy and I just didn’t like the way it made me feel.”
The mom of one adds: “Shout out to everybody else that is thriving on, Ozempic, semaglutide, whatever… But for me it did not. I didn’t enjoy it because when I get my crab cake and my salad and my oysters and my BBQ ribs, I want to enjoy it.”
