“RHOBH”'s Kyle Richards Admits She Hasn't 'Moved On' and Is Hoping Ex Mauricio Will Come Back After 'Sowing His Wild Oats'

Kyle Richards is holding onto hope that Mauricio Umansky will come back home.

On the Feb. 25 episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the reality star, 56, admitted she was struggling to move on from her estranged husband, 54, despite the fact he was dating other people amid their ongoing separation.

"He goes and lives his life and he's having fun and I've kind of been just working," Kyle confessed in a sit down with her therapist. "And I know that's what being like separated is supposed to be, taking this time to figure out everything.

With her family and friends constantly asking if the two will eventually pull the trigger on divorce, the Bravolebrity revealed that she's been feeling "anxious" and "impatient, because I want to know what my life's gonna be."

When her therapist asked why she isn't out living her "best life" like Mauricio, Kyle couldn't help but admit she was afraid of what would happen if the real estate mogul one day changed his mind.

"I guess it's just there's a little part of me that thinks — okay, say I move on with somebody new, and then what if he's like, 'Okay, I went and sowed my wild oats and...'" she trailed off before her therapist asked, "I want to come back?"

In a conversation with cameras, Kyle shared how painful the idea of divorce was, adding that she's never wanted to be a "single mom" and feel "stressed or afraid" like her mother was.

"I was always so proud that I had been married so long because I didn't have a good role model growing up, in that aspect. I was very proud of that," she explained. "I was like, this is my biggest accomplishment."

But when it comes to Mauricio, Kyle recalled how he once told her he was afraid he couldn't be on his own while discussing their separation.

"He said, 'I wanted to know. I was afraid I couldn't be on my own, but I know I can now," she said through tears. "He didn't even say like, 'I was scared I couldn't be without you.' He said, 'I was scared I couldn't be on my own, but I can.'"

"When we were struggling, it felt like he was just waiting for me to get over it, instead of saying, like, 'No, I love you. We are not doing this. We're going to fight until we fix everything,'" she continued.

"I don't know what's more sad, but if he didn't want to fight for me, or if he wanted to and didn't know how. Either way, he didn't. I'm starting to feel like I need to move on," Kyle admitted.

After months of breakup rumors, PEOPLE confirmed that Richards and the Buying Beverly Hills star were separated in July 2023. At the time, a source close to the pair said, "They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family."

Though the couple still lived together in the midst of their split, Umansky has since moved out to a place in West Hollywood and has stepped back into the dating pool.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
