Heather Dubrow addressed her drama with Gina Kirschenheiter on the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Orange County, her advice on marriage, and where she stands with Shannon Beador after her DUI arrest. Last year, Heather was displeased when Gina questioned some of her actions in the group.

But the current season, it seems, will center on castmates’ reactions to Shannon’s DUI crash. In one preview, Tamra Judge – who claimed to be Shannon’s good friend before the season – questioned Heather on whether she believes Shannon has an alcohol problem. Heather answered yes.

Speaking in an interview with Extra, Heather teased that the upcoming season has “a lot of drama.”

“Truth is stranger than fiction,” she said. “This season is like no other.”

She then shared what she now knows about marriage after recently celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary in Italy.

“I think marriage is just – it’s a leap of faith. You can do your best to dot the I’s and cross the T’s and make the best decision possible with your head and your heart, but life throws you curve balls,” she said. “It’s all about how you grow together … and date each other.”

Addressing her drama with Gina in the upcoming season, Heather said Gina “didn’t value [their] relationship, [along] with some other friend.” She suggested Gina “put everything on the table” when they “had an issue this season.”

“She laid it all out for me, told me her part in it,” Heather said. “And we were eventually able to move past it. I love Gina. We’re friends.”

Heather shared that she’s been “campaigning” for her other friend Alexis to “come back” to the show “for the last couple of years,” so she was “excited” that it happened. According to Heather, she and Alexis are still in a good place.

Eventually, Heather was asked about Shannon.

“I think Shannon’s doing really well. We were just texting the other day. Our kids were just at a concert together and we were laughing about that,” she said. “I think Shannon’s in a new chapter of her life, and the audience is going to really be interested to see how that unfolds.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 premieres Thursday, July 11, at 9/8c on Bravo.
