Heather Dubrow is clearing the air after accusations surfaced regarding her involvement in exposing Katie Ginella’s custody situation during the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion. Heather confirmed she sent the article to Emily Simpson, but she also threw shade at Gina Kirschenheiter, who recently revealed that Heather was the one who researched the information.
Last season, Emily dropped a bombshell on the reunion by revealing Katie’s heartbreaking custody situation, leaving fans in shock. On a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked why Gina didn’t call out Emily for bringing up Katie’s personal past. In her defense, Gina claimed that it was Heather who dug up the information and passed it along to Emily.
Heather wasted no time in setting the record straight. In a comment shared by @commentsbybravo on Instagram, she addressed Gina’s statements head-on. “Let’s set the record straight,” Heather began. “First of all, I do not research anyone. That is not my MO. I do not have time or interest to try to dig something up on other people.”
However, Heather did admit to sending the article to Emily, explaining that it was part of a group discussion among the ladies. “For the reunion last year, there were a lot of stories in the media circling about Katie, and some of us were sending them to each other because it was overwhelming and crazy,” Heather shared. “I did in fact send the article about Katie’s custody to Emily.”
Despite admitting her involvement in passing along the information, Heather remained firm in denying any malice. “I did nothing more than that, and I would never have brought this up at the reunion,” she continued. “I actually went up to Katie during the commercial break and said to her… ‘This must’ve been a very difficult time for you. I’m sorry you had to go through that. I never would’ve brought this up.’”
Heather also emphasized her stance on boundaries, stating that “kids and careers are off-limits.” She couldn’t understand why Gina chose to include her in her response during the reunion. “Not really sure why Gina chose to include me in her response on the show or make it sound salacious,” Heather said. “But it was not.”
Fans quickly took to social media to weigh in on the drama. One user questioned Heather’s motives, saying, “If kids are ‘off-limits,’ why did she send the article to Emily? Because she knew Emily would do the dirty work.”
Another fan was more critical, commenting, “So… she, Heather, did exactly what Gina said she did and then she wrote a paragraph saying she didn’t do it?! Then apologized to Katie for something she said she didn’t do?”
One fan summed it up with, “Dubrow is a classic sniper from the side,” implying that Heather’s actions were calculated and indirect.
As the fallout continues, it’s clear that Heather Dubrow’s involvement in the RHOC reunion drama has raised more questions than answers. Whether or not fans believe her version of events, one thing is for sure—this season’s reunion drama is far from over.
