Heather Dubrow weighed in on Alexis Bellino and John Janssen‘s August engagement while appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday night.
As she was questioned about the claims regarding the couple allegedly trying to “extort” Shannon Beador, 60, by threatening to release videos taken on the night of her DUI arrest and asked if Tamra Judge, 57, would ever go back on tour with the Tres Amigas, the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 55, also spoke of her drama with Emily Simpson, 48, and her thoughts on plastic surgery.
“I was not surprised,” Heather said of Alexis, 47, and John’s engagement on the September 19 episode of WWHL, saying she had no doubt they’d make it down the aisle.
As for John’s $75,000 lawsuit against Shannon, claiming she owes him for a facelift, Heather wouldn’t agree that he should have just taken Shannon’s offer.
“It’s very easy to be on the side. You’re not there,” she noted.
Regarding claims of extortion, Heather explained, “I just don’t want to be in the middle of all of that and I just don’t know.”
While Alexis and Shannon have, understandably, been at odds throughout season 18, Heather believes they could have been friends if it weren’t for John.
“I have said repeatedly that I think that Alexis and Shannon were coming off of bad years for themselves, personally, and if John hadn’t been part of the equation, they could’ve been friends,” she suggested.
Although Heather said she wasn’t sure that Tamra would ever return to the Tres Amigas tour, she admitted that she has hope for a reconciliation for the ladies, including Vicki Gunvalson, 62.
When a virtual fan wanted to know why Heather believed Tamra when she told her Gina Kirschenheiter, 40, said she used her for real estate connections, considering their past, Heather suggested that she didn’t completely take it as truth.
“Everyone really wanted me to have that information on that day. [Katie Ginella] tried to tell me and then Tamra was telling me. My focus was on the Family Equality event. It was a long road to get there. I was a little stressed out about it, and I had a lot of moving parts. And it’s not really so much that I believed her. It was like, ‘Yeah, okay, that’s not good, right, gotta go,’ and I even said to her, ‘I’m gonna think about that later,’” she clarified.
Looking back at the drama she faced with Emily, who took offense to her requesting she bring her own jeans to a fashion show, Heather revealed that “even more happened” in that moment.
“It just would’ve been nice to have a private conversation about it as opposed to a group conversation … I was trying to figure out what was going on, and I was so sad she was so upset, and then it was taking odd turns,” Heather recalled.
As for whether she regrets how she spoke to Emily, Heather replied, “I think at that point, it was like, I was done.”
On the WWHL: After Show, Heather was asked how she felt about Emily’s ongoing criticism of Jennifer Pedranti‘s finances.
“I think this happens more, and I don’t want to give anything away, but I make a comment about something down the road,” she teased. “I think the truth is that we are all questioning what’s going on with her and the money that’s being spent and what she’s telling us she has.”
Then, after Andy Cohen, 56, looked back on the previous night’s episode, recalling Molly Simms, 51, talking Lisa Barlow, 49, out of undergoing a CO2 laser procedure, which Tamra underwent earlier this month, Heather admitted she wasn’t completely familiar with what Tamra had done.
“I’ve never seen the blue component. I think that’s something different, extra,” she suspected.
According to Heather, her husband, plastic surgeon Terry Dubrow, 66, does perform CO2 laser treatments, often with facelifts. That said, she will likely not enlist Terry, who once fixed her umbilical hernia (the only surgery she’s had), for face work if she ever decides to take that route.
“I’m not at the place where I want to do something like that yet. And I would hate to put my husband, who I adore and love more than anything in the world, to make me his post-op,” she explained. “So I think that if it’s something, like my stomach was really messed up and so it was something I felt like he’s an expert, like only he could fix that. If it was something only he could fix, I think I would have him do it. If not, I don’t know if I would do that to him.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
