RHONJ Star Teresa Giudice Discusses Her Finances With Luis Ruelas, When She Knew Marriage to Joe Was Over, and Shades Danielle’s Style, Plus Talks Dolores on Traitors & Status With Tiffany Pollard

Teresa Giudice opened up about her finances with her husband, Luis Ruelas, and the end of her first marriage to Joe Giudice while appearing on a podcast earlier this month.

As the 52-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star shaded the fashion choices of Danielle Cabral, 39, reacted to Dolores Catania‘s stint on The Traitors, and offered an update on her feud with Tiffany “New York” Pollard, 43, she commented on her marriages and the backlash Heidi Montag, 38, and Spencer Pratt, 41, received after launching a GoFundMe to help them rebuild the home they lost to the Pacific Palisades fire.

“In a marriage, or in a partnership, you need someone that looks over everything,” Teresa declared on the February 19 episode of Undressed With Pol’ and Patrik.

Then, when asked if she met with Luis’ accountant or looked at his books before tying the knot, Teresa admitted, “I didn’t,” before sharing that she did meet with his financial advisor.

“Luis, you can tell he’s very anal. He does everything right, which I love that. He made me talk to his financial advisor,” she revealed. 

Looking back on the end of her marriage to Joe, 52, Teresa said that she knew they were too far gone after the death of her mother, Antonia Gorga, who passed away just eight months after her release from prison.

“That was so devastating to me, like I couldn’t believe that. She was only 66, so young, so when I lost my mom, that’s when I knew it was over. I kinda knew it was over with my husband as soon as I came home but I still kept [trying]. But when I lost my mom, that’s when I knew because I had so much resentment towards him,” she explained. “I was like, ‘If I didn’t go away for 11 months, I could’ve been home with my mom.’”

Moving on to her RHONJ castmates, Teresa took aim at the looks of Danielle.

“I’m not a fan of how Danielle [dresses]. I’m sure [the jewels] are costume. We don’t like it. Next,” she stated after being shown a photo of her co-star.

While Teresa had nothing good to say about Danielle, she confirmed she tuned into The Traitors season three to see Dolores, 54. 

“She’s doing good. That’s the same thing I was doing on House of Villains. I was playing it safe and I got booted off because I was too nice, which I have to say, if I had to get booted off, I’m glad I didn’t get voted off just because I was too nice,” she reasoned. 

Continuing on about her time on House of Villains, Teresa revealed she’s made up with Tiffany, who falsely suggested that Luis, 50, had cheated on her. 

“Yes. She apologized,” Teresa noted.

The hosts then wanted to know the protocol for selecting reunion fashion.

“They give you a color combo .. and they don’t give us that much time .. so you have to find what they say quick — a few weeks they give you,” Teresa revealed. “We don’t [have a group chat]. We just send it to the stylist and then they tell us ‘yes’ or ‘no.’”

As for her thoughts on Heidi and Spencer’s GoFundMe, Teresa admitted to thinking it was a bad idea.

“I don’t think I would do that because then you would get backlash. I guess you have to try to figure it out because when you’re in the public eye, everyone watches everything you do so you have to cross every T, dot every I, and watch everything you do and say,” she stated. “But I heard her song hit number one so hopefully, she can make money from that.”

Although Teresa wasn’t initially a fan of their fundraiser, she noted that the loss of their home was “sad” before seemingly having a change of heart.

“If they lost everything and they don’t have it, then of course, by all means, do that. I just know being in the public eye, you’re scrutinized for everything you do,” she explained.
