Danielle Cabral has shared an update on the physical fight with Jennifer Aydin that led to their dual suspension from the Bravo show.

On Tuesday, June 25, the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member, 38, uploaded a social media message after the episode that aired on Sunday, June 23, showed the two ladies coming to blows at a Tulum-themed party.

“For a year, we sat back in silence as the lies spread like wildfire. Hit after hit - lie after lie. But we held onto our truth and knew our day was coming,” Cabral captioned the Instagram post.

“Violence is never the answer. However, in all fairness, I did say the LAST person you wanna mess with is meeeeeeeee,” she added.

According to Cabral, “Tulum was the tip of the iceberg.”

News of their fight broke in September 2023 as the women were still filming for season 14. On Sunday, RHONJ fans finally got to see the incident play out on their television screens.

During the episode, Aydin, 47, accused Cabral of being disloyal to her longtime hairstylists, leading to an argument between the two reality stars. After trading insults, Aydin shoved Cabral and Cabral responded by smashing a drink on Aydin’s head before they were pulled apart.

The altercation happened at costar Teresa Giudice's home. "They’ve been falling out all season, but this argument escalated in ways it hadn’t yet," a source told PEOPLE at the time.

Cabral is one of the newer cast members on the show, having joined just last season. Aydin has been on the series since 2018.

Speaking to Andy Cohen during a visit to Watch What Happens Live after Sunday's episode, RHONJ cast member Rachel Fuda weighed in on the jaw-dropping altercation.

“Can we think of anything that’s more pre-contrived in all of that?” she asked. “These girls come into this season with a plan, and they execute, and that was the execution of a plan that happened before cameras even picked up.”

Earlier this month, a source spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about how the blowout and continued cast dissension led to the end of season reunion being cancelled.

"A reunion is meant to have resolution and it's clear in the season finale that there is no path forward in that type of setting," an insider familiar with the situation told PEOPLE. "So the network is figuring out a different concept to wrap up the season."

Less than a week later, Cohen, 56, discussed the decision on SiriusXM’s Reality Checked with Kiki Monique.

"I do want to give some context to the announcement over the weekend that there was gonna be no Jersey reunion, because I feel like there are a lot of theories about what this could mean," he said. "I think that the main thing is, this will all make sense once you see the finale."
