Robert Griffin III Names 'Most Underrated' Quarterback in the NFL Without Hesitation

Could Robert Griffin III sign with the Cowboys? QB says NFL teams have called after 40 time | Sporting News

Quarterback play across the NFL is at an all-time high, with talent spread throughout nearly all 32 teams.

However, heading into the 2025-26 season, former Heisman Trophy winner and football analyst Robert Griffin III revealed the one quarterback he believes is the “most underrated” in the league.

That quarterback? Denver Broncos rising star Bo Nix, who was drafted just last year out of Oregon after a lengthy collegiate career. Nix is now preparing for his second NFL season after leading the Broncos to the playoffs as a rookie.

“After watching all of his film from last year, Bo Nix is the most underrated QB in the NFL,” Griffin posted on X.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton, along with the rest of Denver’s staff, made the decision to select Bo Nix No. 12 overall in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft—despite him being one of the older quarterbacks in the class.

At 25 years old, Nix’s experience proved to be an asset, as he developed quickly in a draft class loaded with high-end talent. That group included Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, Michael Penix Jr., and J.J. McCarthy—all of whom were drafted ahead of Nix and are expected to be full-time starters this season.

Still, Nix impressed in his rookie campaign, completing 66.3% of his passes over 17 games for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns, and just 12 interceptions. Denver finished with a 10-7 record, and now, heading into year two under Payton, there’s growing optimism in Denver about what the Broncos can achieve with Nix leading the way.
