Robert Irwin Joins DWTS Season 34 After Sister Bindi’s Dancing With the Stars Run

Dancing with the Stars has revealed the first celebrity to hit the ballroom for Season 34. Robert Irwin, son of the late conservationist Steve Irwin, is competing on DWTS. After watching his sister, Bindi Irwin, slay in Season 21 of DWTS, he was inspired to join the show. I’m excited about this casting decision.

During Season 21, Bindi danced with Derek Hough, and the duo took home the Mirrorball. Robert shared the news via a post on X. “It’s official, I’m heading to Hollywood for Dancing With The Stars Season 34. This has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid watching my sister’s incredible journey on the show back in 2016,” Robert wrote. “I cannot believe it is about to become a reality. So grateful.”

At Disney Entertainment Television’s Get Real Event, the show’s renewal was also announced. “I said, ‘One day, that’s gonna be me.’ And now, that dream is a reality, and I am over the moon,” Robert said at the event. “Let’s do this!” He created a stir by appearing shirtless, with a large snake wrapped around his neck.

Of course, the wildlife conservationist is no stranger to appearing shirtless. The 21-year-old posed in his underwear for a racy NSFW Bonds campaign. Robert is single at the moment and waiting to meet that special someone. Maybe he will meet his match in the DWTS ballroom.

The rest of the cast and the dance pros will be revealed at a later date. Meanwhile, Season 34’s premiere date has not been announced.
