Saquon Barkley reveals surprising fact about his game-sealing TD against Rams

Philadelphia Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley has tallied a lot of touchdowns over the course of his career. He's scored 17 total touchdowns (and counting) this season alone, and he's crossed the end zone over 60 times since he entered the NFL in 2018. And that's just his professional career. Imagine how many times he scored across his days in college, high school and even peewee football.

Saquon Barkley reveals surprising fact about his game-sealing TD against Rams

Saquon Barkley says his 78-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter against L.A. is the favorite of his career

Out of all of those touchdowns, Barkley's favorite is his most recent: The 78-yard sprint through the snow he recorded in the fourth quarter of Philadelphia's 28-22 Divisional Round win over the Las Angeles Rams. The TD ended up being the game-sealing score for Philadelphia, securing Barkley's first career trip to the NFC Championship game.

"Probably my favorite touchdown so far of my football career since [I was] a little kid," Barkley said of the score. "Just the moment, the timing of it, the conversations I had with myself, the stuff that I've been working on, kind of just all came together in the moment."

It was obviously a special moment for Barkley, and for Philly fans as well. It's a play that is already etched in Eagles lore, and one that could ultimately be remembered as one of the best plays in franchise history.

It will become even more special if the Eagles are ultimately able to make it to -- and win -- the Super Bowl. In order to do that, they'll have to best the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game. The good news for the Eagles is that Barkley has already had some serious success against Washington this season.

Barkley rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns when the two teams met in December, and he posted 146 yards and two more TDs in the first meeting between the teams in November. Riding Barkley could be key to success for Philadelphia in the third, and most important, meeting.

The Commanders will surely be prepared for Philadelphia's rushing attack, but preparation hasn't really mattered much when it comes to Barkley. Just ask the Rams.
