Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles climbed to the pinnacle of the NFL on Sunday in New Orleans, dominating the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22, to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LIX.
Following the win for the Eagles, Barkley and the rest of the team took part in the Super Bowl parade in Philadelphia. As the Eagles celebrated the second Super Bowl title in franchise history, Barkley took to social media, sharing a message with Eagles fans.
"PHILLY!!!" Barkley said. "Nothing but love !! Appreciate ya."
Barkley is fresh off his first year with the Eagles after joining the organization in the offseason. During the regular season, Barkley rushed for 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning himself the Offensive Player of the Year award.
In the Eagles' Super Bowl matchup against the Chiefs, Barkley posted 57 yards on the ground to go along with six receptions for 40 yards.
The former New York Giant turned out to be the missing piece in the Eagles' Super Bowl run.
Philadelphia's Super Bowl LIX victory was a rematch of the title game from two years ago, when the Eagles lost 38-35 to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.
Philadelphia finished this season with an 18-3 record, including postseason victories over the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, Washington Commanders and Chiefs.
