Love isn’t always a straight line — and Love Is Blind alum Sara Carton knows that better than anyone.
In a candid new interview, Sara finally opened up about her emotional entanglement with Joey Leveille, a complicated “love square” that had fans glued to their screens and left hearts hanging in the balance. But despite the drama, Sara says what she shared with Joey was real — and unforgettable.
“Joey gave me the kind of love I didn’t know I needed,” she admitted. “It wasn’t perfect, but it was powerful.”
While viewers watched sparks fly — and sometimes explode — between multiple cast members, few relationships were as intense and layered as Sara and Joey’s. With lingering feelings, crossed connections, and unresolved tension, the emotional stakes were sky-high.
Caught Between Choices
“I was in this weird emotional space,” Sara explained. “There were people pulling me in different directions, but Joey… he grounded me in a way no one else could.”
Even though they never fully committed on the show, their bond was undeniable. Joey’s affectionate, almost poetic way of expressing his feelings made an impression on Sara that still lingers.
“He made me feel chosen, even in the middle of all that chaos,” she said. “There were moments when I saw the best version of myself reflected in his eyes — and that’s a rare kind of connection.”
Where Do They Stand Now?
When asked whether she and Joey still talk, Sara kept things honest but hopeful.
“We’re not together,” she said. “But what we had was special. There’s love there — maybe not the forever kind, but the kind that changes you.”
For now, Sara is focusing on herself, but she’s not closing the door on love — or on Joey.
“Some people come into your life to shake things up, to open your heart,” she added. “Joey did that for me. And I’ll always be grateful.”
Could there be a reunion in the future? Fans are already speculating — and hoping. But if there’s one thing Sara’s made clear, it’s that the love she experienced, however brief or complicated, was very, very real.
