Scheana Shay is weighing in on her Vanderpump Rules co-star, Katie Maloney’s new boyfriend. Katie recently opened up about how she has a new man and she is very much in love. There has been some controversy around this “mystery man” but Scheana is opening up and sharing her opinion on him. Keep reading for what she had to say.
Scheana Shay Meets Katie Maloney’s Man
It was not the easiest season for Scheana Shay and Katie Maloney. Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules took a toll on the entire cast as they ended up very divided. Lala Kent has ditched her friendship with Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney, even unfriending them on social media. Scheana and Ariana, who were once best friends, have also fallen apart. As for Scheana and Katie, they are in a murky spot.
The hit Bravo reality series was renewed for Season 12 but is on an indefinite hiatus. Therefore, they are not filming together and everyone is traveling and living their own lives. Katie co-hosts her Disrespectfully podcast with Vanderpump alum, Dayna Kathan. There, she revealed that she was in a relationship and very happy:
“Yeah, I’m in love. He just makes me feel really special, and he’s really special.”
Allegedly, she is dating Sleeping with Sirens guitarist Nick Martin but as soon as that came out, so did his exes. They flew out of the woodwork with some pretty awful stories about Nick that cannot be ignored. Despite the red flags, Scheana Shay shared on the October 25th episode of her Scheananigans podcast that she met Katie’s beau.
According to Bravo, Scheana had nothing but amazing things to say about him. Additionally, she raved about Katie and how she glowed as they met at a music fest in Las Vegas:
“We were all by the artist trailers and that hang-out area, and him and Katie were walking up while I was standing at a taco truck in line, getting food. And, I said ‘hi’ to her — her hair’s this really cute, reddish color right now — she introduced me to her boyfriend.”
A Real Sweetheart
Scheana Shay went on to share her interaction with Katie Maloney’s boyfriend after they were introduced. It was nothing but uphill from there:
“Let me tell you, he could not have been nicer. We ended up at a different food truck, in like a 5 to 10-minute conversation with some mutual friends. He’s from San Diego, talked about that. And then I ran into them later back at the hotel at the end of the night and was just a sweet guy.”
He is now Scheana approved and if she saw anything sketchy or warranted red flags, she likely would not hold back. Finally, she ended up going to see his band and watched their set which she admitted was “really good.” Hopefully, this can be the red flags and drama to rest for some time and allow Katie to make her own decisions while having a little bit of fun.
