Seahawks Legend Could Be on Eagles Signing Radar

Something that makes the Philadelphia Eagles front office special is their ability to see skill left in players that other teams discard. The Eagles should be able to catch fire once again with former Seattle Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett.

Seahawks Legend Could Be on Eagles Signing Radar

The Eagles need a WR3 and don't really have one. Behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, the Eagles only have Jahan Dotson left in the cupboard and he has not given much, He has not seen the field very often and is a target for Nick Sirianni to replace this offseason.

Lockett, 32, spent the past 10 years in Seattle and has been to Pro Bowls and is a bona fide legend in the Pacific Northwest. He became expendable due to the Seahawks going toward a youth movement and their cleaning house in the offseason. See D.K. Metcalf and Geno Smith trades to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Las Vegas Raiders, respectively.

If Lockett is willing to trade more base salary for the ability to compete for another shot at the Super Bowl - Spotrac suggests he might now be a $7.7 million APY guy - he would fit in perfectly in the City of Brotherly Love. He would see the field more often than Dotson and could be used in three-receiver sets, something the Eagles were not too successful with last season.

There have been rumors out of Philadelphia the Eagles are trying to trade tight end Dallas Goedert. While there is not much available outside of the draft in the tight end market, another receiver with big game experience could be what the doctor ordered.
