"Dancing With the Stars” has officially only made one announcement for the Season 34 cast, when it was confirmed in April that celebrity contestant Robert Irwin would be joining the show (and following in his sister Bindi Irwin’s footsteps). However, a recent clue on social media suggests that a reality TV star will also be involved in the upcoming season.
And that person is none other than “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Whitney Leavitt. The Hulu show is currently in its second season, and Leavitt gave fans a glimpse into her life when she posted a short reel on Instagram on May 19.
Whitney Leavitt May Be Joining DWTS for Season 34
The reel highlights some of her recent activities, including attending an event for the Hulu show and playfully addressing the camera with a voice-over about how she is a “strong, confident, beautiful woman.” If you blink, you would miss it, but for a split second, there is also a clip of her dancing, surrounded by mirror balls and a large DWTS sign in the background. Could this mean that she is joining the show and was attending an exclusive party ahead of the announcement?
Leavitt gave no clues about a potential DWTS journey, and instead captioned her post with a simple message: “Dream it. work for it. cry about it. but most importantly…KEEP GOING!!!!!! @secretlivesonhulu,” she wrote.
The post’s comment section has focused mostly on her antics on “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” which has divided fans. However, Leavitt also posted the video to TikTok, and a fan asked her if she would join DWTS. “Are you the new DWTS contestant being announced?” the fan asked. Brooks Nader, who competed on DWTS Season 33, also commented on the post, writing, “That girl!”
Whitney Leavitt’s Rise to Fame as ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Star
We cannot confirm or deny anything until there is an official statement from DWTS, but Leavitt is comfortable in front of the cameras. Fans will also know that she, like most of the cast, knows how to dance and initially got fame from their choreographed dance videos posted on TikTok. Vulture reports that she danced competitively as a child, and later at Brigham Young University, dance was one of her focuses.
“I want to make great TV,” Leavitt told Vulture in May 2025. “We made great TV, and it was a great season. It took off, and yeah, I mean, it’s also my job.” Joining DWTS could be a great step to making more great TV, right?!
