Though we're only one episode into Summer House Season 9, so much has happened: Lindsay Hubbard revealed her pregnancy! Carl Radke heard the news! And they saw each other in person for the first time in a long time.
During the season premiere, which aired on February 12, Lindsay and Carl came face-to-face when he arrived a day late to the first weekend in the Hamptons of the summer.
Walking in while everyone else was hanging by the pool, he saw his former fiancée's ultrasound photo decorating the mantle and headed outside to chat with a producer.
"I'm nervous about seeing her," he said. "I don't know how to operate there."
"There's certainly no guidebook in doing this. OK?" responded the producer. "The fact that you're feeling confused is completely natural."
Carl went on to note that he'd gotten a ton of texts since Lindsay dropped the pregnancy news on Instagram.
"I mean, it's pretty funny actually reading what people say. She's been pregnant for the last six months and hiding it from the world, because she knew how crazy it would look if everyone knew she was pregnant," Carl said.
After a bit, Carl finally made it inside, where he ran into Jesse Solomon and Lexi Wood. Though they invited him to come outside, he said he needed to go to the bathroom.
He took a few deep breaths and faced the world outside. And as for what happens next? We'll have to wait until next week to find out.

Carl shared in a confessional interview on the Summer House Season 9 premiere, "I pull up Instagram and I learn that Lindsay has announced her pregnancy. I had my suspicions. You know, a part of me is really happy for her, 'cause that's what she's wanted," he explained. "But as someone who's just still taking the time to heal and process and really get rid of this anger and resentment that I have towards her, I don't know what to say to her."
