Kyle Cooke admits he returned to Summer House with one big question: Could he and his housemates “coexist” after such a dramatic year of breakups?
Kyle addressed his doubts during the Bravo Besties panel at Bravo Fan Fest in Miami on Nov. 23, where he hit the stage alongside his wife and castmate Amanda Batula. It was also during Bravo Fan Fest when fans were treated to a sneak peek at the new season (clip below) in which Kyle was left in tears.
But first, Kyle and Amanda spilled on the season. During the Bravo Besties sitdown, moderator Rachel Lindsay asked the couple to share some details on the upcoming Season 9, which was filmed earlier this year in the Hamptons.
Rachel specifically wondered what it was like living with Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard, who ended their engagement at the end of Season 8. Kyle then pointed out that Carl and Lindsay weren’t the only exes living in the Hamptons house.
“Well, don’t forget Ciara [Miller] and West [Wilson], too,” he said referring to his castmates’ months-long romance. “You were probably wondering the same thing we were wondering: Can we coexist… Were the vibes going to be thrown off?”
Amanda said she appreciated everyone’s willingness to return for Season 9 despite their messy and relatively recent breakups.
“I give them all a lot of credit,” she said. “I wouldn’t want to spend a summer with Kyle if we were not together. So the fact that they did and they had fun doing it, it was good. It’s a good watch. It’s going to be quite interesting.”
But what about Kyle and Amanda’s Season 9 dynamic? Well, they insist it was one of their “best summers yet.”
“It starts off rocky. We had an interesting fall… on the internet,” Amanda said. “But, yeah, it was really good. Kyle behaved himself.”
Kyle agreed.
“For the first time ever, some of the rumors that were kind of brewing before the season started actually affected filming, so that’s kind of how we kick off,” he explained. “I’m glad we made a quick recovery… we were at a low low before the season started, so for us to end up having a great summer meant a lot to me. And I actually think, overall, it was a really good season. There was good vibes, people got along, we had a ton of fun. There’s, of course, a bunch of exes in the house… so [Amanda and I] were riding high.”
“For the first time ever, I think this was the first summer we didn’t fight. Maybe?” Amanda added.
“Well, we’ll see,” Kyle responded.
Elsewhere at Bravo Fan Fest, during the Battle of the Bravolebs Panel, Ciara and Jesse Solomon also shared their teasers for the upcoming new season.
"We [as a cast] definitely had to navigate some awkward waters," Ciara shared on the stage, with Jesse adding that for the cast, "It was scary this summer just to eat a meal together."

It should be noting you won't have to wait too much longer for more Summer House as the teaser notes the new season is coming soon."
