Shamea Morton Reveals Surprising Status of Friendship with Porsha (EXCLUSIVE )

Shamea Morton and Porsha Williams' rock-solid friendship appears to be crumbling on The Real Housewives of Atlanta — but there’s still hope for the childhood besties.

Revealing the status of their relationship after RHOA Season 16 in an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish, Shamea had nothing but praise for Porsha's evolution over the years.

"We've all grown quite a bit and matured, but I love the fact that she still has a fun youthful heart," Shamea gushed. "She still enjoys having fun, being out, and I'm excited to see what her next thing in life is."

Even as Porsha navigates her ongoing divorce from Simon Guobadia, Shamea believes "God is working with her and through her," adding, "Some of the changes might hurt right now, but they're for the best for her."

Ultimately, she trusts that a higher power will guide them in the future.

"We just say that God's will be done in our lives," Shamea summed up. "And I think that is the case with her. She'll continue to evolve and she'll continue to come out on top."

Shamea Morton and Porsha Williams' friendship drama, explained

During RHOA Season 16, Episode 10, several long-brewing issues between the two finally bubbled to the surface. As Angela Oakley spilled about their so-called "lopsided friendship," Shamea felt that Porsha "didn't want her to be" a full-time Housewife and was "afraid" to open up about not wanting to be "looked at as Porsha's lapdog."

What's more, Shamea apparently had some lingering hurt feelings about Porsha skipping her 2017 wedding to Gerald Mwangi in Kenya.

Meanwhile, both were incensed that each was discussing their beef behind the other's back, especially given their long history.

Why Porsha Williams wasn't at Shamea Morton's wedding

On The Real Housewives of Atlanta After Show, Shamea tackled the issue of Porsha’s "hurtful" absence from her wedding, head-on. She shared that though Porsha did attend her traditional Kenyan Kikuyu ruracio ceremony, which she explained is when a groom's family pays a dowry for his bride, she skipped out on the actual nuptials in Africa.

During the May 11 episode, Porsha herself revealed, "I did not go to Shamea's wedding in Kenya because a couple months or a month or two prior to her actual wedding, we were not speaking."

That apparently came as news to Shamea, however.

"I didn't know that that's the reason why you didn’t come," she claimed on the RHOA After Show. "You told me that you were sick. Who knew?!"

Shamea went on to say that Porsha had also given her "three other excuses" for why she couldn't fly to Kenya.

"Well, which one is it? I'm very much like, let's get to the bottom of it and move forward," Shamea concluded.
