Kyle Richards' daughter, Sophia Umansky, is officially paving her own way in her career. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills kid previously worked for her dad, Mauricio Umansky, at his real estate firm, The Agency (more on that down below). But now, according to her mom, Kyle, Sophia is pursuing her dreams of being a social media influencer. Kyle opened up about Sophia's new career path during an Amazon Live stream on July 17.
"It's so funny, because real estate was not for her," Kyle explained of Sophia stepping away from real estate. "And she started doing this, and that's actually her business now. She's actually doing really well."
Kyle continued, noting that she loves all of the TikToks that Sophia posts to her account. "She is so funny and she does not hold back with anything," she continued. "You have to be really careful around her. She just whips that phone out and I'm like, 'Sophia! What are you doing?!' Like, 'My pajamas are see-through! Leave me alone!'"
Sophia attended George Washington University in Washington D.C. She graduated from college in 2022, with a degree in Psychological and Brain Sciences.
Kyle took to Instagram in May 2022, where she stated that she was so "incredibly proud" of Sophia graduating college. "I love you so much [and] am so proud of you every day," she wrote in the caption of the post. "But today my heart was bursting with pride."
After graduating, Sophia worked for her dad at The Agency, alongside her older sisters, Farrah Aldjufrie and Alexia Umansky, while she was studying to get her real estate license. Although she was not officially selling houses, Sophia was still able to learn about the industry and also work in the social media space.
Sophia took to the Umansky Team's Instagram Story in April 2024, where she opened up about her role at The Agency. "I run the team Instagram along with [real estate agent] Maddie Buffardi," she wrote on top of a photo of herself. "Working on some marketing stuff for the team while I continue to study for my [real estate] license."
But, in April, during another Amazon Live broadcast, Sophia and Kyle admitted that Sophia was no longer working at The Agency. "Well, she was working at The Agency," Kyle explained.
"Well, not currently," Sophia added. "I was exploring [real estate] and might again, but right now I'm not."
Kyle, however, has been an active participant in Sophia's videos that she has posted to her social media accounts. Sophia took to her Instagram account in May, where she posted a photo of herself, standing next to Kyle, with a super cheeky caption that points out how much they look alike.
"Dad's genes didn't even try," she wrote over the photo.
