Shedeur Sanders Predicted to Replace Struggling $4 Million Second-Year NFL QB

Buckle up, Raider Nation. A potential franchise-changing prospect could be coming to Sin City rather soon.

It has been well-documented that Las Vegas is desperately searching for a spark plug at the quarterback position, and the Raiders would be foolish not to upgrade that room during the off-season. Neither the team's initial starter, Gardner Minshew, or second-year out of Purdue, Aidan O'Connell, have proven to be a viable answer at the position.

There have been plenty of rumors surrounding Shedeur Sanders and the Las Vegas Raiders over the past month, and according to one recent mock draft, those whispers could turn into reality—with the Colorado field general, and son of Deion Sanders, possibly donning the silver and black.

"This is all, at least in some part, good fun," wrote Kyle Crabbs. "But the low-hanging fruit here is obvious for a coach and father that has been very clear from the beginning — Shedeur Sanders' camp will be on board with whereever he starts his professional playing career. It feels pretty safe to put Antonio Pierce's Raiders franchise on the list of approved teams."

A year ago, a video making the rounds on the internet even shows Deion Sanders telling Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce to draft "those Sanders boys".

During his senior season, Shedeur threw for 38 touchdowns and 3,926 yards, while also showcasing his escapability with four rushing touchdowns. His toughness, ability to throw on the run, and knack for picking apart defenses should have Raiders executives salivating.

Raider Nation is getting restless, and the perfect antidote could be to select Sanders as their franchise signal caller for years to come.
