Everyone is talking about the fact that Vanderpump Rules is getting the reboot treatment. Naturally, many of the cast members are probably worried due to the loss of their paychecks and the fame that comes from the show. However, this isn’t the case with Ariana Madix, who a new report says doesn’t care about leaving the show in her past.

As fans know, Vanderpunp Rules had a massive season 10 thanks to the cheating scandal involving Tom SandovalRachel Leviss, and Ariana. However, the cast and its chemistry weren’t the same when the show returned for the following installment. After it finished airing, Bravo said that it would take a short pause, but recently, it was announced that the show would get an all-new cast.

Recently, an insider spoke to Life & Style about the VPR reboot and what led to it. As everyone else has, they essentially blamed the issues on the cheating scandal and Ariana not wanting to be around Tom.

The insider said, “It’s no secret that Ariana refused to film with Tom, and the fact is their storyline was the only one the viewers really cared about, so it put the producers in a very tough spot. There’s only so many reaction scenes they can do with other cast members.”

The person also said that “to keep the show interesting, they needed Tom and Ariana to work together.”

Still, the person who spoke to Life & Style understood where Ariana was coming from. After all, who wants to work with their cheating ex? The person said, “Ariana might have good reason not to want to see Tom’s face.” However, they went on to say that the show is “built around having the cast interact as a whole.”

They then said, “There’s no doubt it threw a huge wrench in things, and now that the show got canned, of course, there’s a lot of blame being directed towards Ariana. That’s not the only issue, a lot of people are whispering that the salary demands from her, and from LaLa, were also an issue, so fingers are also being pointed at her over that aspect too.”

Regarding Ariana, they added that she is fine in all of this, despite the rumors and the reboot. According to the person, “Ariana doesn’t care. She’s got so many opportunities, not being tied to the show anymore is a good thing. But there are quite a few people on the cast that are really stressed and they want to put the blame somewhere so Ariana is a convenient scapegoat.”

An insider also spoke to InTouch Weekly about the popular Bravo show being rebooted. Essentially, they said that the higher-ups felt it was time for a change.

According to the person, “Word is execs felt the show had lost direction. No one worked at SUR anymore. Everyone was doing their own thing. Scandoval severed what ties were left.”

Many fans felt the same way as it became a show about reality TV stars instead of being about a group of people who worked together.

The insider also talked about the cast and how many of them will be fine. Notably, a number of the VPR cast will join The Valley. Tom is also on the upcoming season of The Traitors

Regarding the new cast, the insider said, “Bravo hopes that bringing in a fresh set of faces will give Vanderpump Rules a major boost.”

This comes after Lisa Vanderpump explained the importance of having fresh blood on screen for the long-running show.

Fans can watch old episodes of Vanderpump Rules on Peacock.
