Southern Charm Season 11 Just Lost Two More Controversial Cast Members

Ryan Albert Shares What Was Edited Out of Southern Charm

Filming is officially underway for “Southern Charm” season 11, and the cast shakeup is already making headlines. While longtime Bravo stars gathered for Madison LeCroy’s baby shower in Charleston, South Carolina — the unofficial start to the new season — fans noticed several familiar faces were missing. That’s because “Southern Charm” just lost four cast members, including two of the show’s most controversial newcomers.

JT Thomas Is Officially Out for Southern Charm Season 11

Jarrett “JT” Thomas and Ryan Albert will not be returning for season 11, according to Bravo and Cocktails.

“JT , Leva , Ryan and Taylor weren’t asked back. I know the girls announced but JT and Ryan are out too,” an insider shared. Also, neither man was spotted at the first event filmed for season 11.

While Leva Bonaparte and Taylor Ann Green already publicly confirmed their exits, news of JT and Albert being let go adds even more drama to the franchise’s latest reset.

JT, 40, stirred up plenty of controversy during his time on “Southern Charm.” He feuded with Austen Kroll over his behavior toward women, questioned friendships within the group, and drew backlash from fans and castmates alike. Without much explanation, he announced his departure before the season 10 premiere, only to return for confessionals and the reunion.

According to his co-star LeCroy, JT’s exit came when he realized he was no longer “wanted.”

“I think it became more of this, like, he caught the house on fire and then stepped away when everyone had a reaction — and not a good one,” Madison LeCroy exclusively told Us Weekly in December 2024 after his abrupt exit. “He was no longer wanted in the group,” she added.

Ryan Albert Was Also Reportedy Not Asked Back

As for Albert, his freshman season was also somewhat messy. Following an odd interaction during a cast party, where JT stirred up drama between Green and Salley Carson, Albert took to Instagram and revealed controversial behind-the-scenes information about just how far JT went in his quest to reveal the “truth” to the audience.

“Our reactions in tonight’s episode stemmed from the host of the after-party attempting to present, on his television, blackmail against some of the cast—material he had obtained from a stalker who some cast members have a restraining order against,” he wrote.

Albert continued, “Nobody was trying to push him out of the group. Everyone in my car that night expressed that they were going there to hear him out and make amends.”

“There is a difference between being a truth-teller and being malicious toward others with the intent of humiliating them to have a moment for yourself,” Albert explained.

As the season wrapped up, Albert was also noticeably absent from the reunion, which is usually a sign that SOUTHERN CHARM — Season:10 — Pictured: (l-r) Taylor Ann Green, Rodrigo Reyes, Madison LeCroy, Craig Conover, Molly O’Connell, Shep Rose, Austen Kroll, Salley Carson, Jarrett Thomas, Leva Bonaparte, Venita Aspentheir time on Bravo is coming to an end.

Who’s In and Who’s Out for ‘Southern Charm’ Season 11

While the absences of JT and Ryan caught some viewers off guard, the exits of Leva and Taylor were more expected. After years of frustration with the group dynamic, Bonaparte, 46, announced her departure in March. She had also been focused on her other Bravo series, “Southern Hospitality,” and managing her various Charleston businesses.

Green, 29, who found herself at the center of a messy breakup with Shep Rose and tangled rumors involving the aforementioned Carson and Austen Kroll, confirmed earlier this year that she’d be stepping away as well.

Despite her announcement, Bonaparte was still spotted at Madison’s baby shower, which doubled as the first major filmed event for season 11. Returning cast members Kroll, Rose, Rodrigo Reyes, Molly O’Connell, and Carson were also in attendance. Patricia Altschul hosted the pink-themed party at her iconic Charleston mansion, where Madison opened gifts and caught up with friends like producer Whitney Sudler-Smith.

One unexpected guest who sparked fan theories was “Summer House” alum Kory Keefer. Known for being close with another returning star, Craig Conover, Kory’s presence at the baby shower raised eyebrows.

“Is Kory from ‘Winter House’ joining next season of ‘Southern Charm?!” one Bravo fan account asked. While there’s no official word yet, fans suspect Keefer’s cameo could signal he could be filling a void from the avalanche of exits.

Bravo has not announced when “Southern Charm” will return for season 11.
