Taylor Ann Green revealed she is stepping away from “Southern Charm.”
In a post shared to her Instagram page on April 14, the Bravo TV personality said she is out after five years on the South Carolina-based show and three seasons as a main cast member.
Green shared the “bittersweet announcement” with a photo of her on the reality show, along with a clip of her on “The Viall Files” podcast talking about her new venture.
Taylor Ann Green Thanked Bravo for the Reality TV Ride
Green posted a message to fans on April 14 to confirm she will not return for “Southern Charm” season 11.
“After a lot of conversations and thought this past year, it is with a heavy but peaceful heart to announce that I will be stepping away from Southern Charm next year,” she wrote. “These past 5 years with NBC and Bravo have been some of the most crazy but exciting times of my life. I will forever be thankful to the network, production teams, Bravo family and all the fans for ultimately cheering me on to where I am today. A wild rollercoaster but an incredible one to say the least.”
Green revealed that she will now focus on her new athleisure company, Reset Athletic. She thanked Bravo, NBC, Andy Cohen, and the “Southern Charm” production company for the “exceptional reality TV ride.”
Green first joined the “Southern Charm” cast as a “friend” in 2020 when she was dating veteran star Shep Rose. Her new boyfriend, Gaston Rojas, was not comfortable filming with the cast during season 10.
Taylor Ann Green Previously Said ‘Southern Hospitality’ Might Be a Better Fit for Her
Green previosuly hinted that she could be “done” with “Southern Charm” now that she is no longer in a relationship with Rose. During a March 4 appearance on the “Viall Files” podcast, she admitted that she only returned for season 10 with the hopes of reconciling with her former friend, Olivia Flowers, on camera. Flowers did not return to the show last season, so that moment was never captured.
Green also noted that she might fit in better on “Southern Hospitality.” The Bravo spinoff stars some of her close pals, including TJ Dinch. “Southern Hospitality,’ that would make more sense because I do actually hang out with those people,” she told podcast host Nick Viall. “Those are people I’ve known for a very long time even before they started ‘Southern Hospitality.’ I knew TJ and Brad and Emmy and Will and all of them, so it would make more sense.”
