In the interview, she admitted that leaving the show was "not her choice," and it appears it was a decision that came out of nowhere because Olivia was "thrown off." "I got the call," Flowers shared. "The production company was just like, 'You don't really seem to be in Charleston that much. We're noticing on your Instagram you're in Texas, you've got this new boyfriend, and it just seems like you're choosing a different path.'" However, the decision by producers is not one that Olivia necessarily agrees with. She admitted that she does not think she is "choosing a different path." She continued, "I'm just kinda living my life. My parents had just moved to Texas, and the boyfriend thing just happened very randomly. I'm really glad … like, he was the best part that came out of that year."

Olivia also admitted that if there had been "more communication," then she would have been able to understand how her actions were potentially influencing her role on the show. It is a show she was not ready to say goodbye to either. "I wanted to have another season to get to be more me. Last season was very heavy, and I was honestly trying to keep my head above water," she said.
