Stassi Schoeder looked back on her wedding drama with Lala Kent in her September 2024 release, You Can’t Have It All: The Basic B*tch Guide to Taking the Pressure Off.
Years after she prepared to marry her now-husband, Beau Clark, 45, and Lala, 34, prepared to marry her now-ex-fiance, Randall Emmett, 54, the 36-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum recalled the moment that she and her ex-co-star faced off at BravoCon about their bridesmaid dresses.
“As soon as I accepted my fate, I knew right away that I really wanted them all in white, with different silhouettes. White is chic AF. They could wear lace or velvet or chiffon — I didn’t care as long as it matched the cool white/ivory vibe I envisioned. I was very specific about this,” Stassi began in a snippet from her book shared on Reddit.
According to Stassi, Lala was going to be serving as one of her bridesmaids and was expected to tie the knot before her. And while Lala later split from Randall amid rumors claiming he cheated, the two of them got into an argument first.
“We were in New York for BravoCon … and I remember talking to her about my very chill-but-mandatory color-coordinated silhouette rule, and she commented that she would never allow anyone else to wear white to her wedding, but she would wear a white dress to mine if she had to. She literally said that to me,” Stassi recalled.
Then, the next day, as the ladies prepared for the events of BravoCon at their hotel, Stassi learned from Lala’s stylist, who needed her measurements for the bridesmaid gown she’d be wearing to Lala’s would-have-been wedding, that Lala’s bridesmaids were all “going to be in white.”
Right away, Stassi erupted.
“Bridechilla immediately left the building and I lost my sh*t, going off on this poor stylist and yelling, ‘She said she wanted blush or metallics! She thinks white is a terrible f*cking idea!’” she revealed. “The stylist said she had just spoken to Lala, and she wanted white. This was literally the only thing I had figured out about my wedding, and so what the actual eff?”
After Stassi went off “so hard” on the stylist, to the point that she suspected she was “scared” of her, the stylist went to get Lala.
“When she returned Lala fought back, defending her decision and telling me I was pathetic for caring, and I lost my sh*t all over again. Ah, to be young and naive and pissed off about a dress color!” Stassi wrote.
And while Lala ultimately changed her mind about the white dresses, the drama between her and Stassi wasn’t over.
“She also added that I was insane for getting so angry,” Stassi noted.
Stassi then admitted that she did “feel (kind of) bad” for getting so upset, but she added, “At the time it was important to me.”
As for where Stassi and Lala stand today, Stassi said on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast at the end of last year that the two of them were “still close.”
