Steelers' Patrick Queen Taunts Former Teammate After Ravens' Brutal Playoff Loss

The Pittsburgh Steelers and their fans are watching the playoffs with different rooting interests in mind. Some may be rooting for more local/hometown teams; some may just be rooting for certain teams to lose. Others are just hoping for  pure, unadulterated chaos. While the season ended in failure and frustrations for the Black and Gold Brigade, maybe they can find joy in other things going on for the rest of the postseason. For one player, that seemed to already be the case as his former team just got eliminated too.

Steelers' Patrick Queen Taunts Former Teammate After Ravens' Brutal Playoff Loss

Patrick Queen , a former member of the Baltimore Ravens, seems happy that his old buddy can join him on their offseason adventures now.

Who knows where Queen and Roquan Smith go together, but after a year on separate teams, there doesn't seem to be too much love lost. Cancun is always nice around this time of year: get a little sun in while everyone else is freezing in the United States. Whatever they do, they can have fun without trying to annihilate someone on the other team.

Smith and the Ravens lost to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round. The loss wasn't entirely the fault of him and his defensive unit, but that doesn't make it sting any less. Baltimore outgained the Bills by over 100 yards, but multiple turnovers and drops ended up securing its defeat in the end.

Smith himself had eight tackles in the game, which was one less than the team leader. While he was not involved in a huge play, he was still effective in his own right. Giving up 27 points is never good, but when your offense coughs up the ball on three inexcusable turnovers, the defense may get a pass.

Steelers Really Have No Room To Talk

Queen may be having his fun now, but there is still the fact that his team got annihilated by this same Ravens team just a week prior. In the regular season, quarterback Russell Wilson also had a pair of terrible turnovers to help hand Baltimore the win on a silver platter. Queen is laughing now, but the Ravens actually won a playoff game, as well as the season series by a set score of 2-1.

At least Smith's unit held their own down the stretch and stepped up throughout the end of the season -- and even at times in the playoff game. Meanwhile, the performance from Queen's team has led to questions about his own head coach.

The Steelers have their own issues to work on, including Queen. When the quarterback of the defense is complaining about communication issues and a general lack of effort, something seriously appears wrong. He may be better off hanging out with his own teammates and trying to get on the same page, so they don't have these failures for 2025.

The Ravens had their own defensive struggles early in the year, but some adjustments to the lineup and the coaching staff helped fix it, and that's why they were so dominant down the stretch, and against the Steelers. They were able to go toe-to-toe with the Bills and at least kept it close while the offense made countless mistakes.

Either way, the ex-teammates can catch up on a lot after being on rival teams for a year. They can go back to being friends for a little while. Besides, who wouldn't pass up the opportunity to hop on a flight for free? It can be fun and games for a bit until training camp starts back up. Then, they will go back to hating each other and trying to embarrass the other team.
