Stephen Curry one more year with Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry still had two years remaining on his four-year, $215.4 million contract, signed in August 2021. Due to the NBA's "38-year rule," which prevents offering long contracts to players who turn 38 during the life of the deal, Curry was only able to sign a one-year extension this offseason.

At 36, Curry has been clear about his desire to finish his career with the Warriors, the only franchise he has played for. His agent, Jeff Austin, informed ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that the new deal, valued at $62.6 million, will keep him in Golden State through the 2026-27 season.
