Summer House's Jesse Solomon Accused of Love Bombing — Is He Manipulating Lexi?

I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: I’ve always been iffy about Jesse Solomon. He struck me as a bit of a playboy, and this season of Summer House is proving me right. As a viewer, I think Jesse is entertaining to a degree, but the last few episodes have crossed a very icky line. I hope the rest of the season can give us some insight into where Jesse is coming from because his current narrative isn’t making him look so hot.

Jesse Solomon Summer House

Jesse Solomon might be pulling the wool over Lexi Wood’s eyes on Summer House

Jesse and Lexi Wood started hot and heavy. His jaw practically unhinged and hit the floor when she first walked through the door. Quite honestly, he could have been mistaken for a Looney Tunes character at that moment. To Lexi’s face, he’s said everything a girl wants to hear. But to the cameras and his friends, he is singing a different tune. While flying solo at a recent weekend bash, Jesse popped into Imrul Hassan’s room to check on his threesome. In turn, he got his toe sucked. Jesse thought nothing of it and chose to keep the information away from Lexi.

On the flip side, he texted her numerous times to say he missed her. He even drunk-dialed her to tell her he masturbated before the party so he wouldn’t be a naughty boy. Somehow, the model thought this was cute. The irony is lost on me, personally. As many of us have started to learn, the act of love bombing is an attempt to influence another person with over-the-top displays of attention and affection. And I truly think this is exactly what Jesse is doing, whether he realizes it or not.

Jesse Solomon isn’t ready to be in a relationship

Jesse is 31 years old. It’s not exactly over the hill, but he should really know the appropriate way to treat and talk to a woman by now. What were once considered funny, like his awkward pickup lines, are just pushing some viewers over the edge. From the start, Lexi made it clear she wanted to be in an exclusive relationship. And it was pretty apparent that the idea scared the life out of Jesse. Yet, he agreed. The red flags are waving, yet Lexi is looking the other way.

Jesse himself shared that he “doesn’t like girls often.” His zero-to-one-hundred vibe when it comes to relationships is a questionable tactic. From the outside, it almost feels like he is trying to convince himself that once the chase is over, it’s cool to settle down. Could Jesse just be a bit too immature for a relationship? I think he answered that question when he called Lexi ditzy as a way to hit on her. Personally, I just think Jesse would have been happier and more entertaining if he had stayed single this summer. Selfishly I was bummed we didn’t get more West Wilson and Jesse montages.

Summer House OG Lindsay Hubbard thinks Jesse Solomon is trouble

As Lindsay Hubbard was pregnant during her time at the shared home, she often had a bird’ s-eye view of what was going on behind the scenes. As the sober mom of the house, she formed her own opinion about Jesse’s actions this summer. Lindsay opened up about Jesse’s antics while a guest on the It Girl podcast. The host asked if Jesse was love bombing Lexi, to which Lindsay confidently replied, “Yes. Duh. We’re all watching it.”

The intense relationship made Lindsay think back to her own, noting she doesn’t have many regrets except regarding the love department. “I try not to regret too much because I like to learn from all of this craziness and grow. But, of course, we all have some regrets. I would say some of my relationships I definitely regret — quite a few of them, actually.” Hopefully, Jesse can turn this love-bombing train around and start to show his true feelings. No woman likes a guy who is pretending to like her. Only time will tell if the pair stuck it out or if it was just a summer fling.

Summer House is available to stream on Peacock.
