‘Summer House’ Star Says Filming Season 10 Without Paige DeSorbo ‘Sucks’

Summer House's West Wilson Says Filming Without Paige DeSorbo 'Sucks' | Us Weekly

“Summer House” is one of the most talked-about shows on Bravo. The series has had numerous cast changes over the years, but Paige DeSorbo’s departure was a real letdown for many fans. Now, West Wilson, who is entering his third season of “Summer House,” is explaining why she’s been missed amid filming.

According to US Weekly, West Wilson gave his thoughts on the “Summer House” cast change on his “Show Me Something” podcast. He said, “It sucks.” West went on to say that he notices her absence the most when it comes to the cast sharing jokes in the house.

He continued, “I think our senses of humor were the same. If I made a joke … she would laugh first. So that part [is] always tough.” Still, West Wilson confirmed that he is still friends with Paige DeSorbo despite her not filming season 10 with the “Summer House” cast.

Paige Announced She Would Be on ‘Summer House’ Season 10 in June

West Wilson and most of the “Summer House” cast for season 9 are returning for the 10th installment. However, according to PEOPLE, Paige DeSorbo announced in June that she would be leaving the show. She said on Instagram stories, “I have a little life update for you: I’ve made the decision not to return to Summer House.”

The longtime cast member then said, “Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable. You’ve seen me grow up over these last 7 summers.”

She then said, “I’ll always be beyond grateful for the memories, the community, and the opportunities this wild ride has brought me. But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close.”

Paige DeSorbo concluded, “To my castmates, the fans, and my NBCU family: thank you. I never could’ve imagined what this journey would turn into — and how many of you would be along for the ride. And you haven’t seen the last of me, I promise. So much more to do together, but for now, you know you can always find me and Daphne in my bed.”

The Show Will Include Some New Faces

Paige DeSorbo isn’t the only cast member who won’t be on “Summer House” season 10. Lexi Wood and Imrul Hassan announced that they won’t be returning after joining for season 9. The returners include Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke, Kyle Cook, Amanda Batula, West Wilson, Gabby Prescod, and Jesse Solomon.

According to Reality Blurb, the new cast members are  Ben Waddell, Kelly Justin “KJ” Dillard, Levi Sebree, and Bailey Taylor.
