Superheroes From 64 Marvel And DC Movies & Shows Unite In Massive Crossover Concept Trailer

Different live-action DC and Marvel universes are brought together for the ultimate crossover event in a new concept trailer. Through the decades, Hollywood has seen many unique takes on the DC and Marvel properties, from the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline to the recently concluded DCEU franchise. However, while Disney, Sony Pictures, and 20th Century Fox, along with Warner Bros. Discovery, have brought many of these characters to life, a live-action crossover between the two brands has yet to happen.

As fans are always proposing ideas for what a Marvel and DC crossover event could look like, Dr. FlashPoint, in collaboration with Mindd KidzagCheck, recently put together a massive concept trailer between the many live-action universes. Titled "Marvel/DC: Secret Crisis," the story puts the multiverse at the center, showing every superhero universe being in danger. Check it out below.

"Secret Crisis" is an obvious nod to the iconic storylines Secret Wars and Crisis on Infinite Earths from Marvel and DC, respectively. Crisis on Infinite Earths has been adapted in the Arrowverse and in the animated Tomorrowverse, while Secret Wars will serve as the inspiration for 2027's Avengers: Secret Wars in The Multiverse Saga.

What The Marvel & DC Concept Trailer Means For The Franchises

"Marvel/DC: Secret Crisis" is not only a celebration of how far the comic book movie, and TV genres have come, but also serves as a reminder of how genuinely incredible it would be if DC and Marvel actually did a crossover storyline on the big or small screens. Even as recently as in July 2024, Kevin Feige commented on a possible Marvel and DC crossover, with the Marvel Studios president still being into the idea. However, wanting to see something this big happen is far different from being able to make it actually happen.

The concept trailer also lays out how complicated it would be from a legal standpoint to bridge DC and Marvel together between the respective studios. Even though Disney has most of their Marvel characters, Sony still owns the Spider-Man rights, and Warner Bros. Discovery is in a transition stage right now with the DC brand in light of James Gunn's DC Universe coming up. A lot of financial and creative resources would be required, which may not be something either studio would be willing to invest in for the time being.

Our Take On The Marvel/DC: Secret Crisis Trailer

The Marvel/DC: Secret Crisis trailer shows perfectly how much fun it would be to see any of these live-action universes being brought together in some capacity. While it would be impossible to get every single actor from each movie and TV show, if Warner Bros. Discovery and Disney ever came to a deal where they could work out the logistics of a crossover between DC and Marvel, it would likely be the biggest event in cinematic history between major IP properties. But for now, the world will have to wait and see if DC and Marvel ever get a live-action crossover in the future.
