Tamra Judge Thought Former RHOC Star’s Comeback ‘Was a Huge Flop’

Tamra Judge Claps Back at Former Costar Lydia McLaughlin

Throughout all of the Housewives franchises, we’ve said goodbye to many faces – only for them to pop up again a few seasons later. Sometimes it’s great to see a familiar face bring back some familiar drama. Other times, a comeback can be a reminder of why someone left (or was asked to leave) the first time. And as always, Tamra Judge has an OPINION!!!!

The Real Housewives of Orange County has had its share of comeback attempts in its 17 seasons – RHOC OG Tamra herself was “fired” for two years before returning last season. Tamra was recently asked to name the worst RHOC comeback, and she wasted no time naming her pick.

Tamra thinks “boring” Lydia McLaughlin’s comeback fell flat

On the May 7 episode of Tamra and Teddi Mellencamp’s podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, a caller asked for their thoughts on ex-‘Wives making their way back to the show.

Tamra surmised that some viewers might welcome the “nostalgia” of their favorites getting a second chance, but not every alum has what it takes.

Tamra added, “It’s got to make sense. It can’t be a former Housewife that was on and she got fired because she’s boring.”

Before getting to the shade, Tamra listed some recent comebacks she was here for. She believed that Alexis Bellino’s filming for RHOC Season 18 makes sense due to the Alexis/John Janssen/Shannon Beador triangle of dysfunction. Tamra’s also glad that Porsha Williams is returning to Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Then, back to the shade. The caller shared that they weren’t a fan of Lydia McLaughlin’s second go at RHOC. Glittery Lydia joined the show as a newbie in Season 8 and came back for more in Season 12.

Tamra definitely agreed. “[Lydia’s return] was a HUGE flop. And then what happened? She was gone again.”

In the past, Lydia’s talked about how “mean” the other women were behind the scenes, so the chances of her ever coming back again are probably zero.

Did Tamra completely forget about Lydia’s Season 12 Sad Charlie Chaplin drag getup or her “Balls Voyage” party for her husband’s vasectomy? Well, we all probably did.

Season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County finished filming and is expected to return later this year. Old seasons stream on Peacock.
