Taylor Ann Green Says Craig Shouldn’t Have to Defend Paige Against Rumors, Admits He “Embellishes” the Truth as She Addresses Potential Move to Southern Hospitality and Emmy & Will Drama

Taylor Ann Green shared her thoughts on Craig Conover‘s alleged lies and split from Paige DeSorbo during an appearance on Nick Viall‘s podcast on Tuesday.

Southern Charm's Taylor Ann Green on Craig's "[Embellishing]," If He Should've Defended Paige Against Cheating Rumors, and Potential Move to Southern Hospitality, Plus Talks Emmy Sharrett and Will Kulp Drama

While also discussing her potential crossover to Southern Hospitality and the ongoing rumors surrounding Emmy Sharrett‘s relationship with Will Kulp, 30, Taylor was questioned about Craig’s possible on-screen fibs as she confirmed whether she felt he should’ve defended Paige, 32, against cheating rumors.

“I think Craig can embellish. He can embellish the truth. I think that he hears one thing, and he just wants to go with it. So, he’s like, ‘Let’s up the ante a little bit. Let’s run with this one.’ One hundred percent,” Taylor shared on the March 4 episode of The Viall Files.

As for whether Craig, 36, embellished the circumstances surrounding his and Paige’s breakup, Taylor said the topic was discussed at the season 10 reunion.

“I kind of stay out of it. My only take on that is that when Paige was asking him to say something about the cheating rumors, he doesn’t owe her that. I don’t think he owes her that,” Taylor stated. “She broke up with him, and he doesn’t owe her. He didn’t start the rumor. So he’s like, ‘That’s not on me. I didn’t go around starting this rumor that you cheated on me. Why do I have to stand up when you broke my heart? I had a ring for you, and now I’m having to go, she didn’t cheat on me?’”

“He’s like, ‘No, you broke my heart and I don’t owe that to you.’ A breakup is a breakup. You kind of part ways, and you don’t owe each other anything anymore,” she concluded.

As she looked ahead to the future of Southern Charm, admitting she didn’t know if season 10 would be its last, Taylor noted that it would “make more sense” for her to join the cast of Southern Hospitality.

“I do actually hang out with those people. Those are people I’ve known for a very long time, even before they started Southern Hospitality. I knew TJ and Brad and Emmy and Will and all of them, so it would make more sense,” she reasoned.

Then, regarding the speculation surrounding Emmy, 26, and Will’s relationship, particularly his potential cheating, Taylor confessed to thinking that Emmy could have done a better job addressing the claims.

“I think that she just was in defense mode,” she explained. “It felt like everyone was trying to come in and attack her … [But] to just come in and say, ‘No, it didn’t happen,’ to the viewer, to people listening, they’re going, ‘You’re just saying no, did you have a conversation?’ … Just have a conversation. Where are these rumors coming from and why, and then, okay, let’s put it aside.”

Southern Charm season 10 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo, and Southern Hospitality season two airs right after at 9/8c.
