hings seem to be looking better for “Real Housewives” star Teddi Mellencamp. The mom of three underwent surgery after doctors found tumors on her brain.
Now, Heather and Terry Dubrow from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” are sharing an update.
“Well, obviously any information about Teddi will be given out by her family but what we do know is that, we heard a little bit of good news today, which we’re really happy about and we’re sending all of our good wishes and thoughts to Teddi and her family,” Heather told TMZ.
Dubrow’s husband also weighed in.
“What we do know is she’s extremely brave. And we heard that she’s turned the corner a bit. So it’s very… I think very positive right now. Things are definitely looking up, we understand,” Terry said.
Teddi Mellencamp’s Sister Has Thanked Fans for Their Love & Support
After Mellencamp’s surgery, her sister, Justice Mellencamp, shared an update on her Instagram Stories.
“Watching a loved one suffer is horrific,” she wrote on February 16. “I’ve tried to get back to everyone who has reached out and I know Teddi will share her journey when she is ready. She is by far the strongest person I know. So many emotions as I travel home today,” she continued.
“But her village is the best one I’ve ever seen and I’m so grateful for them! Your prayers are everything. Thank you,” she added.
The following day, Teddi’s ex-husband, Edwin Arroyave, took a moment to thank fans.
“Our family is thankful to everybody for your continued prayers and well wishes. Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love as she continues to recover,” he captioned an Instagram post.
Teddi Mellencamp Said Her Brain Tumors Had Been Growing for ‘at Least 6 Months’
Teddi shared her diagnosis in a candid Instagram post on February 12, the same day that she underwent surgery.
“For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months,” she wrote.
“Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today. The remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date. I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health,” she continued.
