Teddi Mellencamp Shares Positive Update About Cancer: ‘My Tumors Have Significantly Shrunk’

Teddi announced hopeful news regarding her cancer diagnosis. “I have exciting news, everyone!” she shared in an Instagram reel on April 23.

“I just finished with all of my scans, and my tumors have significantly shrunk, which doctors believe means this all will work and I will be back to myself and feeling good,” she told fans.

The former star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” continued, “I have two more sessions of immunotherapy and then hopefully, I am done, and I will be cancer-free.”

“I’m going to keep a positive outlook because that’s the way my doctor just spoke to me. He’s like, ‘You did this. You got this,'” Mellencamp said.

The podcast host wrote on her post, “All tumors (metastasized melanoma in my brain and lungs) shrunk or disappeared so I have 6ish more weeks of immunotherapy and doctors believe I will be healed if everything stays on course.”

She added, “Thank you to everyone who has sent their love, prayers, and positivity.”

Mellencamp’s podcast partner and “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star, Tamra Judge, replied, “I can’t stop crying tears of joy … I love you.”

Mellencamp Showed Her Vulnerable Side Throughout Cancer Journey

Mellencamp has been open about her ups and downs during her battle with cancer, which began as melanoma in 2022.

Since undergoing brain surgery to remove tumors and receiving treatment for cancer, Mellencamp has experienced hair loss, which she showed in an April 9 Instagram post.

While sharing a before-and-after picture of her with and without hair, Mellencamp wrote, “What a difference 4 months makes.”

“Sometimes I am so focused on ‘being strong’ that I forget I am allowed to be sad, cry it out, and feel very alone. I love my kids, friends, and family so much and am forever grateful to them but dang today is one of those days,” she admitted.

She added, “If you are having a day where you can’t wait for it to be bedtime so you can start over tomorrow leave me a [heart emoji]. We are not alone.”

On April 6, Mellencamp posted a selfie of her buzzed head and told fans, “The other side of my head is completely bald. Please refer your fave non-itchy or hot wigs.”

A fan replied, “You are gorgeous, no wig necessary. So sorry you are going through this! Thank you for the awareness you are spreading!”
