‘Teen Mom 2’ alum Kailyn Lowry engaged to boyfriend Elijah Scott months after giving birth to their twins

“Team Mom 2” alum Kailyn Lowry confirmed she’s engaged to boyfriend Elijah Scott after giving birth to their twins.

The MTV star broke the news on Thursday’s “Coffee Convos” podcast episode after her co-host, Lindsie Chrisley, spotted a massive diamond ring on her finger.

“Are you married?” Chrisley asked.

“No, I’m not married,” Lowry, 32, responded. “This is the ring that they give you before you get married.”

The mom of seven explained she chose not to formally announce their engagement because she couldn’t pinpoint a specific time when Scott popped the question.

She recalled Scott always asking, “When are we going to get married?,” but never “taking him seriously.”

“I was just like, ‘We’ll play this by ear. I’ll let you know, if you have a ring one day, we’ll reevaluate,” Lowry continued.

“And then one day he just showed up with a ring,” she added.

Reflecting on the recent proposal, the reality star claimed Scott opted out of getting down on one knee since they’ve both been married before.

Lowry was previously wed to Javi Marroquin from 2012 to 2017, while Scott was married to ex Kayla Brooke from 2018 to 2020.

“We’ve both been married already, so we both don’t care about the whole, ‘get on one knee and make it all romantic and stuff,'” she continued.

“Because that’s just not how we are … He came into the bathroom one day while I was getting ready and he gave me the ring … I was like, ‘Oh my God, thank you!'”

The “16 and Pregnant” alum added that she “doesn’t like being the center of attention” and “would have been happier if he had left the ring on the table and walked out.”

Lowry and Scott, who started dating in 2022, share twins Valley and Verse, whom they welcomed in late 2023, and 1-year-old son, Rio.

The podcast host also shares 14-year-old son, Isaac, with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera and 10-year-old son, Lincoln, with Marroquin.

Lowry is also the mom to sons Lux, 6, and Creed, 3, whom she shares with ex Chris Lopez.
